Our Story

Founded in 2015 by Matt Martian and Hassan Rasul, two photographers in search of a studio with a clean aesthetic and beautiful natural light. What initially started as a co-working studio quickly developed into a full-scale business dedicated to helping others in the creative industry.

Over the years, Blok Studio expanded to three locations, supporting productions of all sizes while providing resources, education and a place for Phoenix’s creative community to work and connect.

Today, Blok continues from our original Van Buren studio, focused on what started it all: providing a thoughtfully designed, accessible space for photographers, filmmakers and creative teams to make their work.
